Conventional Economics

Conventional community economic development is based on building the existing business community and attracting new investment. Rural Futures has a successful track record in both of those activities. We bring a business planning approach to all initiatives that are aimed at enhancing the local economy. Our approach allows our clients to evaluate a variety of options and to evaluate the return on investment and the likelihood of success. We don’t like our work to sit on shelves.

Examples of the work we do include:

We believe our clients should do as much of the work as possible. We assist where specialized expertise is required or human resources are not available. When our work is completed the initiative is left in capable hands.
